 GAIT ANALYSIS

Need help with running?

  • Two women dressed in yellow workout clothes are kneeling in a cross prayer position on a bridge, with a modern arch structure behind them. They are in an outdoor urban setting during daytime.

    Functional movement screen

Gait analysis will start with a functional movement screen. This will test your left vs right sides and look for imbalances in your core, leg strength, coordination and proprioception.

  • A camera mounted on a tripod, connected to a smartphone, with a blurred television screen in the background displaying a pattern of orange and brown hues.

    Video analysis

We will then move to the gym to video your running style; we will need to review this before emailing you some pointers

  • Two women exercising on platforms in a gym with kettlebells and balls stored in the background.

    Rehabilitation

We will prescribe exercises to help improve your running technique, muscular strength and endurance

  • Two women in yellow athletic outfits sit on a concrete outdoor sports court, wrestling with each other and holding kettlebells. Two bottles labeled 'Boxed Water Is Better' are positioned on the ground nearby.

    What should I wear?

Where what you would usually run in!

Please come with clean trainers and preferably tighter fitting clothes so that we can accurately analyse your running form.

  • Two women working out on wooden boxes in a gym, with kettlebells on shelves behind them and large windows letting in natural light.

Will I need more than one assessment?

That is entirely up to you!

We can give feedback after the initial visit and if your goal is pain reduction and you become pain-free then of course not.

However if your goal is to improve running performance and technique then you may wish to have a review at a later date.
